Deaf people enjoy watching movies as much as hearing people! There are no captioned movies offered in the Scranton area. Do you think we should request that local movie theaters offer captioned movies? Why is it important that Deaf people have access to captioned movies? Explain your thoughts and opinions. We will write a letter to the local theaters and ask them to offer captioned movies.

Yes, I agree with we should request that local movie theaters offer captioned movies. It is important that Deaf people have accessto captioned movies because Deaf people have to right to watch movie theaters with captioned. Hearing people can hear what movie theater story, but deaf people not hear cause we can't hear. So, deaf people can read movie theater with captioned that deaf people will understand what is about movie and more enjoy than without captioned. I wish all movie theater with captioned in the world because hearing people will tradition about captioned. I wish hearing people know what mean is captioned because deaf people can watch movie with captioned. I want ask to you. How hearing people doing without voice. How you feeling about that. We can't understand what mean is movie story with captioned. I hope soon all movie theater must have captioned at all times.
Thank you, much!
well, I believe that having a captioned movies in movie theater is a fanastic idea. It gives all of deaf peoples access to watch movies and enjoy the big screen in the movie theater. That will might make more profit to the company if there was a captioned so there will be more deaf people coming.
Therefore more deaf peoples more profit the company would get. It is important for deaf people to get access in captioned movies because it teaches them more vocabulary words and get to know whats happening. If they get access to most of the movies there is a higher percentage of their education will increase.

Deaf people have rights to see Closed Caption in the movies' theater. It would be awesome to see Closed Caption in the movies' theater. We would have great feeling with it. We can feel connected with movies. We get the idea what they talking about. I love to watch action movie. However, I still don't know what it is about. Hearing people should enjoy the movies as much as deaf people do. We are PEOPLE! only difference from us, is that deaf people can't hear. Nothing wrong with that we can enjoy the movie. We shouldn't have a lot of Closed Caption in movie. it should be just 2 to 4 times. Deaf people have their own small world. It won't profit company if movie have CC everyday.
Of course, deaf people love to watch movies theaters. The Scranton area has two Movies Theater both no captioned. A few deaf people live in Scranton, too. I am sure that dorm kids will go to watch movie theater if have with captioned. Why not every Thursday and Saturday for Movies Theater with captioned? They will go to Movies Theater for sure. That is very important to access, for they can enjoy fingering out, learning new vocabulary, and discuss with their friends.
I agree with husky that if without voice how hearing people want to hear voice. Same as way deaf people without captioned how to read it.
Ok, hello,
Um, well, of course, everyone should have equal access, even to D/A people. So, all theater SHOULD provide equal access for everyone. I mean, SHOULD, right?
And for deaf people, well, how can we understand without closed caption anyway? Rare of us who is good on lip-read. I mean, not lot of us are good on lip-read. So, we need closed caption so that we can enjoy our night-movie-time, right? We want to have same pleasent as hearing people do. That is the equal!

Hello again,
Teacher, I look at my previous comment, I was not satisfied, so, I post this new comment, only if it is ok with you.
First/second question, Yes, I think everyone of us should, I mean SHOULD request that local movie theaters should, I mean, SHOULD offer close captioned. People always have enjoy time when they watch theaters, right? Hearing people are enjoying the movie while deaf people are in full of puzzled and no idea what the heck this movie talk about. We should, I mean SHOULD have equal access. Once we have equal access, and we will have enjoy time to watch movies together.
Again, what is different between not provide the close captions in theaters, yet they do provide close captions in DVD which is same movie from theaters? I don't see any different between this and this, honestly. Sheesh.
Theaters should, I mean SHOULD provide equal access for everyone.
Good Night.
